Energizing DIY Spa Water

November 18, 2009 at 7:48 am 1 comment

Spa water is very popular these days. But it should always be remembered that you do not need to go to the spa to experience spa water. Spa water is very very easy to make. Just remember the main idea is to create a light, refreshing, healthy and natural drink, made of mineral or distilled water and fresh fruit or vegetables for flavoring.

Citrus fruits are meant to energize the body naturally and help with mental alertness. Here is a recipe for an energy boosting spa beverage.

You will need a gallon of water, a pitcher, grapefruit, orange, lemon, lime, 1 cup of honey. This is my personal favorite and you may customize as your taste pleases. Squeeze the juice out from the fruits and mix it in with the water and honey. Serve in a tall glass with ice and garnish with zest. For added freshness combine sparkling water and regular water and toss in a mint sprig.
